Our Assessment

Inaugurated as a flagship project in November 2024 (6 months into the second term), the $40 million Eruwa Agribusiness Industrial Hub aims to transform a 3,250-hectare dormant farm settlement into a modern facility with crop/livestock production centers, 15-20 processing plants, training centers, mechanization leasing, seed production, and an eco-resort, potentially creating thousands of jobs, positioning Ibarapa on the global agricultural map, and replicating the Fasola Hub's success for rural economic revival.

The groundbreaking occurred on November 21, 2024, with the first phase awarded to Craneburg Construction Company for an 18-month duration (target completion May 2026). As of March 2026, the project remains in early construction stages, 15 months after inauguration and well beyond the 18-month promise from May 2023 inauguration.

The 18-month completion deadline lapsed without full operationalization, classifying this as broken despite ongoing work.
