Upgrade Emmanuel Alayande College Of Education To A University Of Education

Governor Seyi Makinde promised to upgrade Emmanuel Alayande College of Education to a full University of Education during his first term. This would expand degree programs, attract more students and lecturers, boost research in education, and create economic opportunities in Oyo town through a major higher institution.

Governor Makinde signed the bill upgrading Emmanuel Alayande College of Education to Emmanuel Alayande University of Education on December 5, 2022, with NUC approval following shortly after, fulfilling the first-term commitment.
